The rules state lumber may be cut to a uniform size for transfer. Are there regulations for the size or as long as all pieces are the same size it is okay?

The rules say that materials may be cut to a uniform size for the convenience of transportation for teams. If a material is cut, it should not be specific to a team’s filter design. If a team uses a material that must be altered (such as cutting) from the state that it was bought in, that material can only be altered to fit the filter design during the Construction phase of the competition.  So any material, such as wood or piping, that is cut for transportation convenience cannot be pre-cut to a specific length so that during the Construction phase, no more cutting is necessary. This would be considered pre-assembling the filter system, which is not allowed.
